Had an amazing breakfast here for my birthday! Our waiter, Michael, was so personable, engaging with us and making me feel extra special on a snowy Monday birthday morning. His warm attentiveness really heightened our experience. The smoked salmon Eggs Benedict with rosemary potatoes was to die for!! We also had a warm whiskey hot toddy, an espresso martini, and the Turkish coffee which was definitely unique. If you’re ever in downtown Nashville, put this place on your list, and I hope you get Michael as your waiter!
From when we walked in the door we felt like everyone really enjoyed working here. Friendly, great chefs that had smiles on their faces. The food was tastefully prepared, good portion sizes. Bartenders were amazing, they know their cocktails.
Not a lot of variety in the dishes but they are good. It's principally a café (coffee and hot chocolate, which are delicious) and desert place. The tiramisu has actual alcohol in it, a rarity nowadays. Staff is very friendly. I wouldn't recommend for children unless you're here for pie.

The service was top-notch, and I especially want to highlight our server, Michael, who was friendly, attentive, and really made our visit even more special. The service was impeccable! As for the food and drinks, everything was delicious. We ordered an English breakfast tea, which was perfectly brewed, with a smooth and aromatic flavor, ideal for pairing with any breakfast. My husband chose a Cuban-style coffee with milk, which was strong and dark, with a delicious richness that he really enjoyed. For our main dish, we had eggs benedict, with eggs cooked perfectly and a creamy hollandaise sauce that complemented everything wonderfully. The potatoes, seasoned with rosemary, were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside—simply delicious. The french toast was another standout: fluffy, with a subtle touch of cinnamon and sugar, served with melted butter and maple syrup, all perfectly balanced. The price was reasonable for the quality of food and service we received. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a charming spot to enjoy a delicious breakfast in Nashville. This was wonderful brunch. All of our groups food was top notch. Everything made fresh and tasted amazing. My kid said “this is the best waffle I have ever had”, so they got that going for them. Staff was super friendly and very attentive to food allergies and preferences.
Celebrating my achievement of becoming an master reviewer on Google!!! I did it at Cafe Intermezzo!!! What a beautiful European feel cafe in the heart of Nashville. We went there with our dear friends and had a wonderful time. The whole experience was fantastic. We started with Hot Chocolate Deluxe. Fantastic!! Then we had the bruschetta to start dinner of. It was great and was fully covered with a great balsamic vinaigrette. My wife and I split the French dip. It was great and came with crispy and creamy fried potatoes. We then finished off the dinner with just one of the amazing desserts. We chose the key lime cheesecake. It was delicious. We paired it with a Cuban coffee and a chocolate martini. What a wonderful meal. Cafe Intermezzo will be one of our go tos when feel like a European return without having to hop on a flight! Well done!!!
I love the inside of the place and the historic details and design. I tried this place and I was impressed with the food and the friendliness of the staff and being greeted. The wait was reasonable for my party of 2. Parking can be a struggle, but hey it is in downtown area although there are plenty side street and public parking garages. Oh and I absolutely loved my cocktail!
